Our clients have an exciting opportunity for a Test & Certification Engineer to join their growing team. To support and manage the testing schedule as defined by Senior Management. To be responsible for liaising with test laboratories and realising the full product testing from indicative testing in house to 3rd Party Certification. Management of test reports, assessments and certification and providing a direct liaison to the business to facilitate company needs. Ensuring all reports are valid and up to date where needed. The Job: Researching international industry/product standards and creating business cases for product testing/development projects. Liaising with stakeholders across the business to establish testing and certification requirements through various markets. Building relationships with test laboratories to ensure smooth transition of requirements. Communicating with the Senior Management team on product testing and timescales. Using product and industry testing and certification knowledge to educate stakeholders via presentations and creating technical documentation. Application for sampling and witnessing of components and tests as necessary. Assembling and installing test specimens at the HQ and various international testing laboratories. Producing detailed test reports and documentation for presentation to management team. Completion of all necessary paperwork in association with the above items and ensuring PO coverage is arranged. Liaising with the Design team to highlight findings from reliability tests and implement, where necessary, design changes. Arrange travel and accommodation as necessary for off-site activities Ownership of the testing schedule and working with the management team to ensure deadlines are achieved on product testing. Maintaining existing certification and assessment database. To take on any other tasks as deemed reasonable by management. Own the in-house fabric quality/test procedure and report to the business on non-conforming fabric and work with the Quality Improvement Manager Required skills & experience: HNC/HND or equivalent in a technical/engineering field. A good level of competence with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Project management/NPI experience Enthusiastic, positive can do approach
