I'm currently recruiting a Senior Merchandiser for a leading West Midlands based retailer who pride themselves on their friendly and informal culture. In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting and planning inventory volumes for your designated category via the management of a team of Merchandisers and Assistants. The company operate a hybrid working policy of 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote / home based.

About the role

Your primary responsibilities within this exciting and challenging role will include maintaining store stock availability via the management of OTB, WSSIs and Range Planning. You will monitor sales, stock holding and margin targets to ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained in line with space and availability needs. Furthermore, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting, minimising the risk of stock shortages.

About the person

To be considered for this position, you will have experience of working in a Retail Merchandising environment where you will be already operating at Senior Merchandiser level or a Merchandiser looking to take their next step. Your experience in the industry will have seen you develop outstanding planning and forecasting skills, but you must also be an inspirational manager and team leader who is able to forge relationships with others in the business using your influencing and relationship building skills. The company do not have layers of management red tape, so you will have loads of autonomy and accountability.
