Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible)

Status: Full-Time; Salaried, Exempt
Remote: In-Office & Flexible/Hybrid; This position is not open to 100% remote work and you must be able to regularly commute to our locations within the Greater Grand Rapids area.

Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting accounting operations of multiple operating entities to include production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

GEN3 currently supports the development and production of robotic vehicle platforms and wire harness manufacturing, accelerating the development process by overcoming all lead times and engineering obstacles. We rapidly get product to market and into full rate production. GEN3 is part of a larger portfolio of businesses with a strong support network and proven track record of success in several markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, budgeting, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and other reports required by supervisor and management
  • Weekly analysis of payables and receivables entries for accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
  • Assist in development of accounting processes and systems
  • Participate in ERP system and process improvements
  • Help integrate, manage, and audit business control procedures and practices
  • Assist Controller and group accounting team with month end closing process
  • Clear understanding of cost accounting and financial analysis - an analytical thinker
  • This position will solely support the Gen3 companies
  • Any other task as requested by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Sr Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role (required)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Experience in cost accounting &/or CPA (preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office; specifically expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets & using advanced formulas)
  • Experience with Infor (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
  • Commute/Location: Comfortable with regular commute to office/locations within the Greater Grand Rapids area
  • US Citizenship (required)
