Are you a teacher looking for a new role in special schools? Have you got some experience supporting SEND children? Would you like to deliver content to small groups of children with autism?Five Education is looking for a Teacher who can deliver to a small class of children who have a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The pupils at the school have been diagnosed with SEND needs that include autism, complex needs and SpLD (e.g. ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia). Most of the students attend classes with the rest of their year group but may spend one or two lessons in alternative classrooms or working in smaller groups within another learning support base. The successful candidate will have classroom teaching experience and a developed understanding of autism-friendly teaching methods. You will be eager to develop your pedagogy by learning more about ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Teaching materials and resources are provided. However the school encourage individuality, therefore you are welcome to adapt learning materials to make your lessons outstanding. The person chosen for this role may have previously been a primary/ secondary / FE teacher. They will benefit from training and support whilst working with Five Education. The school has a supportive staff cohort and good facilities. Class sizes are small and many of the children have their own 121 support staff assisting them within the lessons. The successful candidate will benefit from a pay rate dependent on experience. Essential criteria: Previous classroom teaching/ delivery experience or previous roles include HLTA or cover supervisor. Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa). At least two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks. Experience of teaching/ supporting individuals with SEN/Autism/Complex Needs/SEMH.What can Five Education offer you?
