Job Purpose of a Graduate Employment Advisor

1. To be able to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.

2. Efficient in time management and demonstrate effective planning and organizing skills to ensure all tasks are completed in time.

3. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and motivate others to develop/grow industry-specific knowledge and skills.

4. Managing employer expectations and effective control in the recruitment journey.

5. Provide a sense of authority to the customers and enable them to feel more confident & strengthened.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Employment Advisor

1. Register participants from Jobcentre's referrals.

2. Assess the needs and barriers of participants by applying SMART action plans & needs assessments.

3. Support participants with training, work placements, employment, and post-employment (in-work support).

4. Create awareness amongst the participants about our company's vision of equal opportunities and values.

5. Work alongside the recruitment managers to support work-ready participants in employment.

6. Assist customers in becoming job-ready by coaching & providing employer-led advice and guidance.

7. Signpost participants to a range of organizations to assist with health, drug & alcohol, housing, and finance advice.

8. Track & record customer outcomes and activities on the CRM system.

9. Liaise with job centers, local authorities, and a range of community associations.

10. Target-driven, able to meet the deadlines set out by contract profiles, and to work with KPIs/stretching targets.

11. Provide support to the participants to enable them to sustain employment through good practice and overcome any foreseen barriers.

12. Provide customers with quality constructive feedback that allows them to improve and prepare for the dynamic work environment.

Key Skills Required for a Graduate Employment Advisor

1. Ability to carry out the job duties with reasonable adjustments when necessary.

2. Ability to seek out solutions to problems.

3. Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.

4. Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

5. High level of initiative and motivation

Ideal Candidate for Graduate Employment Advisor role must:

1. Must demonstrate previous experience and confidence working in a target-driven environment.

2. Must be empathetic to vulnerable and at-risk adults and have a strong desire to help.

3. Strong communication, conflict management, and negotiation skills.

4. Must be resourceful & innovative with a positive outlook.

5. Confident to work in a fast-paced environment.

6. Team player and supportive of colleagues.

7. Willingness to travel in/around London.
