Overview

This established international organisation are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team. You will be joining a globally recognised brand that is experiencing fantastic growth and offers a stable working environment. This role would suit an experienced all-rounder that has experience in working within a small team and can assist with the daily running of the finance function. Furthermore, this role will be predominately office based and offers a brilliant working culture.

Finance Assistant - About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Head of Finance and will be responsible for assisting with the daily running of the finance function. You will be required to support with the production of managements accounts and other month end duties whilst also overseeing the transactional accounts function. The ideal candidate will have a pro active and flexible approach with a varied accounts background.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting in the preparation of management accounts and other month end duties.
  • Providing financial and management information to support management decision making.
  • Preparing relevant balance sheet reconciliations and follow up issues highlighted by senior management.
  • Posting of monthly journals to include prepayments, accruals and payroll.
  • Understand, prepare and explain variances against budget/forecast.
  • Managing purchase ledger including inputting suppliers bills and raising supplier payments across multiple entities.
  • Managing sales ledger including creation of invoices and debt collection across the business.
  • Cash collection, reconciling statements and managing cash flow.
  • Assisting with yearend audit and monthly payroll.

The successful Finance Assistant will have

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • AAT qualified or QBE candidates will be considered
  • Strong month end experience
  • Good Excel skills
