Brand and Propositions Manager hybrid £43-45k12 month FTCReports to - Marketing DirectorFunction - OperationsLocation - Office based in Coventry or Birmingham with hybrid working.We're launching a new national technology brand.Following our success, we're spinning out a new commercial brand to focus on accelerating the deployment of advanced connectivity, delivering further innovation and support organisations to adopt the benefits from connectivity, internet of things and data & AI solutions. The mission of this new company is to make it radically simpler for public and private sector organisations to get the benefits from these new technologies - building on the real-world expertise and experience.The remit of this new company will extend beyond the West Midlands to also address national opportunities and will extend beyond 5G to cover all types of advanced connectivity (including 5G & fibre), internet of things and data & AI.We are looking for an exceptional thinker, communicator and collaborator to develop our propositions from end-to-end, including pricing, narrative and go to market plans, and development and ownership of a new challenger brand.Purpose:Reporting to the Marketing Director, the role encompasses the development of exciting new propositions in the tech and connectivity space. Working across departments, the Brand and Propositions Manager will work to understand customer problems, and devise exciting and compelling narratives to describe our unique selling points, helping customers to understand how our products and services can enhance their business. The role also encompasses owning the development of the brand strategy, guardianship and look and feel, and developing lead generation campaigns and activities.Accountabilities:Proposition development- Own the development of propositions, across the marketing mix, working with sector leads to understand market/customer challenges, the value we provide, and create competitive and compelling solutions and go-to-market plans- Create positioning statements and narratives, and translate these in to thought leadership and comms outputs, targeted towards niche market segments.- Develop proposition marcomms materials, working closely with the communications agency, and ensure that all channels reflect our key messages and act as lead generation tools- Deliver new propositions end-to-end: definition, pricing, cross-channel marketing plans, creative/social posts, defining and analysing KPIs- Build effective, trusted and collaborative relationships with customers and stakeholders and adopt an insight led approach to proposition development.- Translate customer and market analysis into clear business recommendations across proposition development, communications & customer experience- Continually review propositions and market analysis to ensure our offer exceeds customer expectations, and identify emerging trends for future proposition development.Brand development and management- Work with the Marketing Director and external agency to create a new and exciting 'challenger' brand for the new commercial business- Work with the communications agency to launch the brand, and deliver ongoing communications activities to build brand awareness and engagement- Create and manage a brand toolkit and take ownership of all communications as brand guardian, thinking beyond just core logos, considering tone of voice, visuals, and all other key assets, documents, and guidelines - quality management of all outputs- Ensure the wider business are correctly focused on key brand messagingLead generation- Plan and execute end-to-end demand generation programs to accelerate pipeline through developing effective proposition marcomms plans and use the appropriate tactical execution of activities including digital marketing channels and in-person events- Qualify, track and nurture leads through a CRM programme, to drive customer acquisition.- Management of the events calendar including identifying and recommending suitable events to attend, speaker opportunities and associated briefing and presentation materials, and post-event lead-generation/follow-up- Support on the delivery of events, for lead generation, and for specific programme activity.Content and Thought leadership- Co-create outstanding, original content marketing that showcases the breadth of capabilities at WM5G and the contribution we make to business and society.- Support the communications agency with analysis of research data and interviewing of experts to create high-profile articles and reportsExperience- Five years' proposition development experience- Experience in successful development of propositions, including development and implementation of go-to-market plans- Experience in brand development or evolution and launching brands in a B2B context- Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering digital marketing lead-generation campaigns in a B2B environment- Understanding of how to leverage SEO to drive web traffic- Experience in using CRM for communications and lead nurturing, particularly HubSpot- Proven ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, prepare responses/narrative quickly and clearly and use personal initiativeSkills- Ability to think strategically about complex customer issues, leading to successful proposition development and articulation, action plans, and campaigns.- Ability to quickly grasp complex themes and simplify them, developing compelling brand or product stories that resonate with our target audiences- Impeccable English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication- Excellent project management, planning, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication skills.- Good presentation skills- Strong organisational and planning skills- High degree of accuracy in executing work, a brilliant eye for detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy- Ability to put forward and discuss new ideas and challenge old or outdated ones- Collaborative and able to contribu
